The next Mark Zuckerberg?

In today’s society, where so many young people have ‘big’ dreams, whether it’s to become the next big vlogger or entrepreneur, the world is full of creativity and opportunity. However, as much as we love to dream, we seem to forget that in order to achieve that dream, we need to do something about it. This means getting off of the sofa and turning off our Netflix accounts and going outside to actually do something. Now I know what you’re thinking, ‘Well obviously I knew that, I’m not stupid’. I’m not saying you’re stupid, but I am asking you to think seriously about whether you’ve actually done anything to take you a step closer to your dream.

For example, you want to create a website on fashion and eventually own a business and have your own fashion brand. Of course, it would be amazing if this just happened magically, but that’s not the way it works. You have to take the necessary steps to make this happen. It takes hard work and dedication to get to this level of success. Firstly, you would need to learn how to create the website, decide on your content, build up followers, create clothing pieces, etc. You get my gist. The point is: whether you want to be a director, writer or anything in this world, you need to realise that it won’t happen overnight. In fact, it will take a very long time, but with perseverance, hard work and goals you will most definitely make it. It’s all about taking that first step and continuing until you achieve your goal. You’ll never achieve anything if you keep doing the same thing. It’s about stepping out of your comfort zone. So stop being so comfortable!

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can do it! Mark Zuckerberg started his career from one idea inside his college room. Now, at the age of 32, he is worth $49 billion and is one of the richest people on the planet. Kiowa Kavovit was only six years old when she pitched her business idea on the popular TV show Shark Tank and won the $100,000 investment. She now has a business named Boo Goo, which provides medical bandages in the form of paint for the human skin.

Now what’s your excuse?

Excuse me while I go and plan for world domination…
